Battery and Electrical Services
The most common electrical problems we come across are related to automotive batteries and battery connections. Car batteries store electricity for use in starting the car and operating other systems. Most car batteries are made to last around five years or so. A battery’s lifespan may be longer or shorter depending on how you drive, the weather, road conditions and other factors. For instance, excessive cold or heat can end up shortening a battery’s life. Additionally, taking a lot of short trips isn’t good for your battery because your alternator doesn’t get a chance to fully recharge them in less than about 20 minutes of driving. If your battery is 3 to 5 years old, you may want to consider getting your battery tested so you don’t end up stuck in a parking lot on a dark night.
